Get ready because the next wedding is filled to the brim with creativity, fun, and beauty! Bridget (the bride) is a litigation attorney by day and a super creative wedding planner by night!
I was in awe when I read the laundry list of items she handmade (with the help of her willing..or unwilling fiance) including the adorable save-the-dates, chalkboard menu’s, and ribbon wands. The ribbon wands are my favorite! When reading her story, I thought it was hilarious how Saadeh (her then fiance) had a look of fear when Bridget brought home her new electronic paper cutter. haha I think all men can understand what he was feeling at this exact moment! Now, not only did this couple create a gorgeous wedding but they also had a fun venue which provided tons of outdoor activities for their guests to take part in including: zip line, waterslide, water trampoline, kayaks, tennis courts, basketball courts, and more. The extremely talented, Stella Alesi, captured all the gorgeousness and fun from the day! Enjoy ladies & gents ♥

I recently found this little gem over on Luna Photo’s website. The ceremony and reception were both held at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, which is a really cool craftsman style luxury resort whose attendants are in full Scottish regalia. Did I mention that it also rests on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean?? Aweeesome! My favorite elements of this wedding are: the umbrellas ( love the green!!), the huppah, the gazillions of gorgeous flowers, and the fact that everyone looks like they are partying like it’s 1999!
Enjoy lovlies! xoxo
A few words from the photographer:
First let me start by saying that I love this couple..I love their chemistry and the fact that even without words I can see how in love they truly are. We arrived at the beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines and from the moment that we got there we were inspired and ready to go. We’ve actually only met this couple a few times because they live out of town but they absolutely trusted us…this is so key for the photographer/client relationship. Their ceremony was held on an open, grassy field which was bathed in beautiful light (one of my favorite aspects of photography) and their reception was held in one of the ballrooms at the lodge. The location is definitely a beautiful place to shoot but really it was the energy and love that made my job so easy. Congrats to Jen and Dan!

Real Wedding: Stephanie ♥ BearJune 25th, 2010 by Larissa
Eeeeeks…I am SOOO excited to post this wedding!! So, I want to start off by saying that the entire wedding is 100% homemade, DIY, handmade…you get the point. This includes the bride’s incredibly gorgeous wedding dress which she made herself, and an entire laundry list I included below!!! Yes, my jaw dropped too. Stephanie and Bear are extremely talented artists that created (what I would like to call) a Hippie-Chic wedding. So beautiful, earthy, authentic, and full of love. I want to give a BIG thank you to Kristen Grinnell Photography for sending this my way and for capturing the day in these amazing photos! ♥ xoxo ♥
A few words from the photographer:
Stephanie and Bear are incredible musicians and artists. In her “spare” time, Stephanie is a graphic designer / creative genius, so, of course, she handmade everything for their wedding. Her dress, her Nordic inspired tiara, the invitations, the place cards, the programs, she even hand printed LOVE onto pieces of her silk wedding dress and crafted them into lavender sachets for her bridesmaids. Their wedding was truly a community effort. Their neighbor grew the flowers in her garden all year long, another neighbor made the wine AND was chef for the day, Bear’s sister coordinated the day AND made the wedding cake, friends served each other dinner and provided musical entertainment for the rest of the night. And to top off the giving, in favor of their guests attendance, Stephanie and Bear gave baby chicks and honey bees to families in need through Heifer International. It was truly a special evening full of so much love and goodness.
