California Wedding: Robin ♥ AlejandroAugust 12th, 2010 by Larissa

7 thumbs up

Go ahead and call me a nerd, but how could you not get all happy and giddy when looking at these photos?? This couple is just too cute and they (in my opinion) had the best type of wedding you could have…a laid back wedding! Instead of a typical wedding cake, first dance, cutting of the cake, etc…Robin & Alejandro started their big day off with delicious food which also included chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake, and pecan bars. Yes, my mouth is watering! :) All of this was followed by their intimate ceremony which took place outside under a large tree. The flowers were gorgeous, the weather perfect, and this was all topped off by the bride’s killer earrings! Ladies, check them out! For their reception, Alejandro, who is a musician, booked a really great jazz band, and actually rocked out with them showing off some of his drummer skills! The entire day went off without a hitch and it was all captured by Heidi Ryder Photography. ♥ Enjoy ♥

I have a gorgeous little gem for you tonight that is super chic and has everything your little heart might desire! Get a good chair, sit down, and get ready! Jim & Therese were married on the beaches of Santa Monica at a super fabulous luxury resort called Shutters. Not only did they have beachfront views, breathtaking flowers, and a fabulous place card display, but the bride {for all the ladies out there} wore some killer heels! Ooooh how I love heels! Huge kudos go out to the uber talented, Amelia Lyon, who captured every lovely shot. And here we go….!!

Real Wedding: Jen ♥ DanJune 30th, 2010 by Larissa

9 thumbs up

I recently found this little gem over on Luna Photo’s website. The ceremony and reception were both held at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, which is a really cool craftsman style luxury resort whose attendants are in full Scottish regalia. Did I mention that it also rests on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean?? Aweeesome! My favorite elements of this wedding are: the umbrellas ( love the green!!), the huppah, the gazillions of gorgeous flowers, and the fact that everyone looks like they are partying like it’s 1999! :) Enjoy lovlies! xoxo

A few words from the photographer:

First let me start by saying that I love this couple..I love their chemistry and the fact that even without words I can see how in love they truly are. We arrived at the beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines and from the moment that we got there we were inspired and ready to go. We’ve actually only met this couple a few times because they live out of town but they absolutely trusted us…this is so key for the photographer/client relationship. Their ceremony was held on an open, grassy field which was bathed in beautiful light (one of my favorite aspects of photography) and their reception was held in one of the ballrooms at the lodge. The location is definitely a beautiful place to shoot but really it was the energy and love that made my job so easy. Congrats to Jen and Dan!
